“I am sorry we couldn’t save her ” The Doctor looked at Sam sadly, and placed a hand on his shoulder.
Sam felt the room spinning around him, he couldn’t believe his mother hit the bucket…he was about to hit the floor with all his weight but the Doctor caught him and sat him on the nearby bench… ” Are you okay?” He asked Sam…. No response.
The doctor sat down next to Sam and gently held his hand, ” listen son” he spoke in a soft tone, ” she was a fighter, All the while she kept mentioning your name but I guess her time was up , she fought hard but … Fate had its own plans” the doctor sighed ..Sam turned and looked at him ” can I see her ?” He asked. The Doctor shook his head and stood up, ” sure , you might as well bid her farewell”. He sighed and walked towards the ward, Sam followed him feeling Numb.
She was lying there lifeless yet her face glowed like the sun itself, Sam walked towards his mother’s lifeless body, his heart raced, regrets hit him like endless arrows from the stories of Mahabharata. He stared at her face and tears flowed ln torrents…
“Mom, I am sorry I didn’t make it on time, I am sorry for not having being there for you when you needed me the most , I wish I could bring you back and tell you how much you mean to Me, please come back” Sam cried his heart out.
Suddenly he felt a tap on his shoulder ” enough now !” a voice whispered and Sam jumped and turned around, his eyes widened with shock and he couldn’t believe his eyes, he turned back and looked at the lifeless body closely then he laughed aloud, bummer it was a dummy…His mom was alive standing right beside him… There was no end to his joy, he hugged his mom and kissed her forehead and he fell on his knees crying..” please mom forgive me for being such a loser, the thought that I had lost you made me realize your worth, mom I promise I will never walk out on you again… ” He cried but this time it was tears of joy.
